My "Wrinkle in Time" is from Minneapolis, Minnesota named "santa.mov" GPS 44°ree;59'NorthLatt 93°ree;13'WestLong @ 1:00pm Central Standard Time on December 21st, 1997.
Typical bachelor's pad around Christmas. Complete with aluminum Christmas tree and color wheel! I also wanted to show some of my activities during this time of year, like putting gifts under the tree; working on the Mac; watching TV; eating left-overs; eating more left-overs; and of course, napping after an engauging read on Photoshop f/x. Girlfriend declined to pose. (I'm lucky I got up to shoot this on time!) ;-)
TECHIE stuff:
Nikon 8008s w/18mm lens
Fuji 400 Color Negative Film
Kaidan QPU on Gitzo tripod
PhotoCD Scans from ProColor, Inc.
Kodak PhotoCD Access Software & Photoshop 4.0
QuickTime VR 2.0 Authoring Tools Suite
v1.0 scripts with a 400 x 250 pixel window and 258K size
High Res version looks great! I followed Jeremy Weathers recommendation (and others) to keep the file size down to under 300K, ie:
1) take srcpict (2688x768) created from 512x768 PhotoCD images
2) reduce to 50 percent (i.e. qtrpict as discussed in all the manuals)
3) dice and msnm (obviously I still use the v1.0 tools)
